  • Browns Make Three Moves

http://munilot.com/users/avatar.aspx?userid=3435Hello, and welcome to the debut edition of Ian Eagle's Football Heaven on the MuniLot.com!

As a CBS Sports play-by-play announcer and all-around football fan, I have had the opportunity to learn a lot about the game of football and the Cleveland Browns. I often get to visit Cleveland Browns Stadium with my broadcast partner, Solomon Wilcotts, and have had the chance to really get to know your favorite team: the Cleveland Browns. I'm an "expert", if you will, so the good people at the Munilot.com asked me to contribute my analysis on a regular basis and share my knowledge with you.

In my first article for Ian Eagle's Football Heaven, I'd like to provide my thoughts about three changes, or "transactions", the Cleveland Browns made yesterday.

The first move, the team's decision to drop Terrelle Smith, may have been made because he is a fullback, and because the team doesn't need any more fullbacks. Alternatively, it may have been made because the team wants fullbacks, just not him.

The Browns also decided to sign offensive lineman Seth McKinney, who plays both center and guard, which are two of the three offensive line positions. If McKinney plays, and the Browns gain over 2,000 yards rushing this season, this move will be seen as a very good one.

Finally, the Browns signed Robaire Smith, a story reported on an internet "web" site, until it was broken worldwide on CBS Sports, your home for great NFL coverage, about eight hours later. Robaire is a defensive lineman, who will help with the Browns strategy of rushing the quarterback.

Woo! That's one article done, ha ha! I hope you join me again soon on Ian Eagle's Football Heaven!
