Joe Theisman has some issues with Brady Quinn apparently.

On Tuesday's edition of ESPN's Mike & MIKE show, Theisman ripped his fellow Notre Dame alum a new one. In a nutshell, his criticisms were based on his appearance following a 4-hour wait once the Browns selected him with the 22nd pick. Theisman trashed Quinn's hair, tie, and the fact that he was chewing gum as he approached the podium. It was an unexpected trashing that you'd only expect to see on the E! Channel if anything.
Amazingly, with the Cavs advancing to round 2 of the playoffs and the Indians in first place, this crap dominated a lot of the local sports talk radio yesterday. I think that this is further proof that I need to spend more time on those other two teams for a little while now.
What the hell Joe? Are you really that anal about how a draftee's tie is tied or how moppy his hair is? Or is it simply a generation gap issue with you that you feel you need to be critical of a young guy's hair? Is this your cry for help since ESPN has no real place for you anymore? I don't think too many people are gonna miss this guy on MNF this year.
In Brady's defense, I did spend my evening breaking down game film and I can assure you, he did indeed stop chewing gum once he held up his Browns jersey on the podium on Saturday. You just got served Joe! See you in hell!
