Andruzzi Set Loose

On Wednesday the Browns announced that guard Joe Andruzzi has been released. Andruzzi, two years into his four year deal, became expendable when the team signed guards Eric Steinbach and Seth McKinney earlier this offseason. This move means the Browns go into 2007 with new starters at both guard positions on the offensive line. The other former starter, right guard Cosey Coleman, is still lingering about on the free agent market.
Andruzzi is a 10-year veteran who has appeared in Super Bowls with both the Packers and Patriots. Though a tough player and a hard worker, Joe had been plagued by nagging injuries with the Browns and age seemed to have caught up with him a little bit. Hey, as a friend of the Marines, I can’t help but wish him all the best. Semper Fi Joe!
