Juwan Howard, who just had his contract bought out Monday by Minnesota,
could be on his way to Cleveland. Also interested are the Chicago Bulls according to the web rumor mills.
"I hope we get him," Cavs forward LeBron James said. "He can help us. We
need a guy to play down low."
Howard, 34, averaged 9.7 ppg in a little over 26 minutes per contest. He can still rebound (5.9), can make his free throws judging by his 82% mark last year, and should be shouldn't cost much at all. However, if he signs you better alert the women around West 6th. Juwon is also an
alleged carrier of a little friend that keeps on giving.
Right now the Cavs need bodies in the front court. If Anderson Varejao, the holdout that really matters, continues to sit at home the Cavs will likely have to fill his void by committee. It's doubtful Cedric Simmons, Dwayne Jones and company will match Varejao's production or energy off the bench.
