On Sunday, LeBron James decided to treat the city of Toronto to a reincarnation of his memorable
game 6 performance against the Pistons.
Down at one point by 20, LeBron scored 24 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Cavs to a
93-90 comeback win. The quarter started with James converting an "and-one," as well as a pair of three pointers on back-to-back possessions in the first three minutes of the final quarter. As soon as the Raptors saw LeBron's jumper catch fire, they pretty much knew the game was over.
"When he started hitting [shots], we knew it was going to be a long quarter,"
Moon said. "I thought we were going to hit some shots, build the lead back up a
little bit and pull the win out, but he kept hitting them and they pulled it
out." - Raptors rookie Jamario Moon on James.
It looks like the Cavs have finally climbed themselves out of their hole in the standings a bit. They've now won 7 of 10 (welcome back Varejao) and are now 17-17 and in second place in the Central division. Hey, it could be better, but we'll take it considering how ugly this team looked (aside from LBJ) several weeks ago.
LeBron finished the game with 39 points, along with 11 rebounds and 8 assists. For those of you keeping score at home he's still leading the league in scoring at 28.0 ppg which is a full two points ahead of L.A.'s Kobe Bryant. James is also averaging 7.1 rebounds and 7.6 assists.
With the team now over .500 and looking playoff bound once again, the LeBron MVP run is now officially underway.
