On Monday James Laurinaitis surprised many by announcing that he will come back for his senior year once again for the Buckeyes. "Little Animal" was projected by many to be a top-10 pick in this April's draft if he were eligible.
That now makes 5 of 6 key Buckeyes coming back for '08. The others coming back are offensive tackle Alex Boone, receiver Brian Bobiskie, linebacker Marcus Freeman, and corner Malcolm Jenkins. The lone early entrant is defensive end Vernon Gholston who is both a fourth year junior as well as the Buckeye who is built more for a career in WWE if this NFL thing doesn't work out.
Considering that both Laurinaitis and Jenkins appeared in line to be the first players at their positions selected; it appears they chose loyalty to the 2005 recruiting class over early NFL cash. It also helps to have a road game in Southern Cal next year as well as a third shot at a national title. Either way, America better brace themselves for another Buckeye BCS appearance and perhaps another shot at the title.
Enjoy this last clip taken from New Orleans. Yes, it's probably only part of the reason why America hates Ohio State. Feel free to spell along at home or the office.
