The Indians announced on Monday that all of their games will be broadcast in HD for the 2008 season. That means Sports Time Ohio, WKYC, and their Fox game of the week appearances will all go the extra mile for the fans this year.
Of course, there is potential risk involved with putting the Tribe in HD every night for the sensitive Tribe fan. How will they handle themselves when these modern enhancements project such fresh and unsavory visuals like Jhonny Peralta's acne, Joe Borowski's "deer in the headlights" expressions every 9th inning, or Casey Blake's back hair sticking out from his collar? What fun!
Then again, maybe the sensitive Tribe fan will be too busy listening to John Mayer and watching those goddamn reality wedding shows on the Lifetime channel to even notice.
On the bright side, at least the Tribe is actually thinking of the fan and putting all their games on HD. This is, no doubt, a great thing. Hopefully, Time Warner customers will actually have access to this for a change.
Speaking of Cleveland HD sports, will the Cavs ever increase their HD broadcasts? Seriously, is it too much to ask to see LeBron in High-Def more than once every 2 weeks? Anyone…anyone…
