Last night I turned on the Cavs game expecting to watch LeBron take care of business at the Garden against the Knicks. What I didn't expect to see was the fans to act like last night was what appeared to be LeBron's first official recruiting visit to the Big Apple in anticipation of his free agency tour which is in 2 1/2 freaking years! Derek Anderson signing was the right choice

Obviously, it was quite a weekend for the Browns. They addressed the defensive line with two trades for both Corey Williams and Shaun Rodgers, while also signing Donte` Stallworth to a longterm deal to line up at wide reciever. All three aquisitions addressed some big needs on the roster for a team that won ten games last year. All is well with the fans right? Something tells me I'm going to regret the Chris Berman-esque "Meatloaf" reference in the title. Oh, the hell with it. In what was one of the better NBA all-star games in quite a while, LeBron James racked up 27 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists on his way to the game's MVP award. It's LeBron's second A.S. MVP award in two years. Not bad for a 23 year-old. Next stop...the regular season MVP and another run deep into the playoffs....(read more)

I haven't posted anything up in a while that has to do with baseball cards for quite a while, but I couldn't resist this one...and this card makes the Rudy Guiliani Topps card look quite tame in comparison. Upper Deck randomly inserted cards featuring each of the Presidential hopefuls in caracature in a famous baseball moment. Derek Anderson disappoints at Pro Bowl

Sure, the NFL's Pro Bowl is typically the least watchable out of the major sports all star games. For good reason…defenses can't blitz, there is rarely a player collision that gets anybody excited, and usually some of the biggest stars (Tom Brady and Randy Moss for example) simply choose not to show up. Browns starting cornerback Leight Bodden stuck it to the man by winning his trial which pertained to an incident with police at Cleveland's Hopkins Airport. A fourth Browns player has been added to the AFC Pro Bowl roster. Can more be on the way? The latest to be added is the team's designated long-snapper Ryan Pontbriand. He will join wide receiver Braylon Edwards, kick returner Joshua Cribbs, and left tackle Joe Thomas. It will be the first Pro Bowl appearance for all four players. The Indians announced on Monday that all of their games will be broadcast in HD for the 2008 season. Sorry, I couldn't resist using that classic line from "Major League" in the title.
