The charming, yet slightly nauseating, story of a suburban nerd's love of the Cleveland Browns. And other stuff.

  • A Browns Fan Upset with Direct TV

Posting an email that I recently got from a Browns fan. Are other fans having the same experience?

    To whom it may concern,

I am a loyal Browns' fan who is frustrated by Direct TV.  I live in Atlanta so my only option to see the Browns is to purchase the NFL Sunday Ticket.  This year I paid an extra $100 to purchase the "Superfan."  This package was supposed to provide games in High Definition.  While I understood Direct TV did not have enough channels to broadcast every game in High Def, I figured there would be a rotation so all teams would get an equal amount of High Def games. I was wrong.

After this week's game against the Dolphins, the Browns will have played 6 games.  Only 2 of the 6 have been on High Def.  In other words, my $100 is somehow less worthty than some other team's fan.  The Browns are getting screwed, and its fans with them.

I need other Browns' fans help in convincing Direct TV to broadcast the games in High Def.  Direct TV can be contacted through the following link:

I was hoping you would post this issue on your site.

    Thank you,

    Mike H.
