3/14: Records Are Made to be Smashed

Proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that Browns fans are out again in force thanks to the team's free agency blitzkrieg, the OBR Radio program last night smashed all records for listenership on SportsTalkNetwork.com. This record includes all broadcasts before or after their work with WKNR. Last night' OBR radio program broke by 20% the record for most live listeners an audio stream on either WKNR or STN.

I don't think I'm at liberty to say how many Browns fans had congregated to hear the latest (at the time) on Willie McGinest and Julian Peterson, but it was - um - a lot.

Good thing I didn't know about it or I would have likely swallowed the microphone or impaled myself on the telephone bank in a panic. Here's the tape of the broadcast, in that nifty "MP3" format all the cool kids use.

i thought that might be why i was only getting a 5 second blip every 10 minutes or so... you just need to have the bandwidth increase to allow the rest of us to be able to hear it live!

and while your at it, maybe include a feed for a pint of Dortmunder Gold every half hour or so! (who says Browns fans are an undemanding group?)

:-D

not to worry, i'm GLAD that stuff happened this past weekend to make it hard to connect to the show! of course, if YOU feel a bit guilty about it, it would be my moral obligation to accept a Great Lakes six-pack from you... to help you feel better about it... (yeah, yeah, that's it!)
